2021.8.16. / The Japan Patent Office publishes a guide to help you file a trademark application that will not be rejected.

On August 5, 2021, the Japan Patent Office (JPO) published "How do I file a trademark application?"
This guide is a trademark examiner's guide to help you file a trademark application.
The guide is divided into five steps from filing to registration, and provides easy-to-understand explanations of the key points for filing a trademark application that will not be rejected.

In recent years, the percentage of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) filing trademark applications, which has been on the rise, has exceeded 60%, and there have been an increasing number of cases where SMEs have stumbled upon reasons for refusal that could have been prevented if they had known about them in advance.
