On September 14, 2021, the JPO released a list of 20 companies that will be supported by the IP acceleration program "IPAS2021," which aims to accelerate the growth of startups in terms of both business and intellectual property.
This year, IPAS received applications from 104 companies, and 20 companies were selected through document screening, interview screening, and presentation screening.

The "IP Mentoring Team," consisting of business experts and IP experts, will diagnose and brush up business strategies through mentoring with startups for about five months, and support the development of IP strategies linked to business strategies.
