2022.3.15. / Ministry of Finance Announces Status of Injunctions of Intellectual Property Infringing Goods at Customs

On March 4, 2022, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced the status of IP infringing goods seized by customs in FY2020.
In FY2020, the number of cases of import suspension exceeded 30,305 for the first time in three years.

Of these, counterfeit brand goods and other trademark-infringing goods accounted for 96.7%.
By item (based on number of cases), bags and clothing accounted for 29.2% and 27.0%, respectively.
