On April 27, 2022, the Japan Patent Office compiled a report on a patent technology trend survey in the cutting-edge field of "the use of information and communication technology in education.
According to the overall trend of patent applications, the number of patent applications in the relevant fields is on the rise, and the growth of applications by Chinese applicants in particular has been particularly marked in recent years, with many of these applications being filed in China.

In the "Use of Artificial Intelligence" and "Records of Learning and Instruction" fields, it was found that applicants of both nationalities tended to file more applications related to "Records of Learning" and less applications related to "Records of Instruction.
