On June 7, 2024, the JPO announced the promulgation of the "Law for Act on Strengthening Industrial Competitiveness, etc. to Promote the Creation of New Businesses and Investment in Industry.
The draft law was approved by the Cabinet on February 16, 2024, and passed and enacted on May 31, 2024.

This partially amends the Act on the Industrial Property Information and Training Center, etc., an Independent Administrative Institution.
