2022.4.20. / Japan Patent Office Releases Research Report on Japan's IP System and Economy

On April 4, 2022, the Japan Patent Office (JPO) released a report on the relationship between Japan's intellectual property system and its economy for the fiscal year 2021.
The themes of the report are as follows.

(1) Analysis of the effect of conducting interviews and responses during patent examination
(2) Analysis of unused trademarks
(3) Analysis of patent fees
(4) Survey of domestic and foreign econometric studies that contribute to the JPO's policies
(5) Improvement of the overall estimation method of the IP activity survey and verification for actual operation
