On November 25, 2022, the University of Tokyo published "University of Tokyo Intellectual Property Report 2022: Intellectual Property of the University of Tokyo Utilized - Toward Social Implementation of Research Results", the first report on intellectual property by a Japanese university.

The report uses statistical information and specific examples of how intellectual property is managed and utilized.
