On March 15, 2023, the JPO announced that it will suspend fast-track examination of trademarks as of March 31, 2023, due to the shortened examination period.
However, applications filed prior to March 31, 2023 that meet the requirements for fast-track examination will be subject to fast-track examination.

Fast-track examination is a system to shorten the period from the filing of an application to the first notification of examination results by stating the default goods and services in the application.
With the suspension of the fast-track examination operation, the "Fast-track Examination Support Tool" has been renewed as the "Goods and Services Support Tool.
