On February 21, 2020, a Cabinet Decision on the "Ordinance on the Improvement of the Provisions of the Design Registration Ordinance and the Transitional Measures Along with the Enforcement of the Act Revision of Part of the Patent Law, etc."

As a result, the related design system is expanded, and related designs that are similar only to the related design can be registered.
Also, the term of the design right will be changed from "20 years from the date of registration of setting" to "25 years from the date of application for design registration".
