Overview of Patent System in Japan

On February 19, 2020, the JPO joined as a partner in the WIPO GREEN, a platform operated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to promote the use of environmental technologies.
Japan will be the first participation of the Intellectual Property Office in the Asia-Pacific region.

WIPO GREEN was launched in 2013 with the aim of matching environmental technology providers and users and promoting the use of environmental technologies.More than 3,600 technologies have been registered in the database and 1,400 people have already been registered. Used by more users.
