On May 10, 2022, the JPO decided to suspend the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) with the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO).

On and after May 10, 2022, with respect to applications for PPH with EAPO as the preceding Office, the JPO will not subject the filed application to accelerated examination under PPH, and even for applications filed for PPH with EAPO as the preceding Office and selected for accelerated examination prior to May 10, the JPO will cancel such selection and exclude such applications from accelerated examination.
