2022.10.18. / Governor of Ishikawa Requests Cooperation in Trademark Registration from Japan Patent Office

On October 6, 2022, Ishikawa Governor Hase visited the Japan Patent Office to submit a request for cooperation in registering the prefecture's specialty luxury grape "Ruby Roman" as a trademark in Korea.
Ruby Roman was developed by a prefectural research center over a 14-year period.

In recent years, grapes purporting to be Ruby Roman have been sold in South Korea without authorization, and DNA analysis has shown that the genotypes were a match, so the seedlings were reportedly taken overseas, which has become a problem.
