2023.7.25. ／ French-Japanese Patent Prosecution Highway Expanded to Include More Projects

On July 1, 2023, the JPO and the French Industrial Property Office agreed to begin accepting PPH MOTTAINAI and PCT-PPH applications in order to expand the number of cases eligible for Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) applications.
The PPH pilot program will run from July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension thereafter.

It should be noted that PCT applications cannot be transferred directly to the French Industrial Property Office for the national phase.
